Soda

White porcelain meets delicate cobalt  —

the filigree decoration of Soda is laid in blue rings on bisque porcelain. In 2004, Stefanie Hering developed the minimalist décor from attempts to depict the thinnest possible lines on porcelain and opted for ceramic screen printing.

The delicate circles are created with cobalt pigments in a ceramic silkscreen print. The resulting serigraphy is applied by hand to the high-fired bisque porcelain using a transfer medium and fuses in a final firing at 1400°C. Consequently, the colored circles take on a subtle soft gradient.

As one of our print collections, Soda is robust, durable and easy to care for: making it suitable for the home table and ideal for use in the hospitality industry. We recommend placing a cloth between the pieces when stacking to preserve the delicacy of the decor.

The reduced decor as well as the velvety surfaces make Soda an excellent choice for furnishing a complete service, but equally allow it to be freely combined with our bisque collections Velvet and Pulse and Cielo, as well as interacting with our cobalt collections such as Alif or Ocean.
